BA Glass has successfully completed the acquisition of a 60% equity stake in the Mexican Glass Packaging Producer, Vidrio Formas. This strategic move marks a significant milestone in BA Glass's global expansion efforts and lays the foundation for the company's direct presence in the Mexican and American glass packaging markets.

BA Glass is excited about the opportunities this acquisition presents to support Vidrio Formas in expanding its customer base among local clients and better serving BA Glass's international customers. This collaboration will leverage the industrial capabilities of the Group and harness the tremendous potential of combining the talents and expertise of both Vidrio Formas (renamed to BA Glass México) and BA Glass Europe teams.

Sandra Santos, the CEO of BA Glass, expressed her deep appreciation for the opportunity to partner with Vidrio Formas' founders in shaping a shared vision for the American glass packaging market. She highlighted “the alignment of values, shared passion for glass packaging, and a mutual commitment to growth and excellence”.

Following this acquisition, BA Glass's annual turnover will surpass EUR 1.8 billion, with an impressive EUR 600 million in EBITDA. The company's workforce will expand to 4,800 employees, representing more than 15 nationalities, reflecting its growing global presence.
