BA Glass is investing in a Normal SOA Furnace rebuild with a capacity of 370 tons/day, whereby the maximum capacity of the furnace will be kept, and installation of a new electrostatic filter with additional equipment for reducing emissions of nitrogen and sulfur oxides.

BA Glass is investing in the construction of a new glass melting furnace in Sofia with a capacity of 450 tons/day and a technological line to it, a new purification facility to the new furnace – an electrostatic filter with additional equipment to reduce emissions of nitrogen and sulfur oxides, a new batch house, service facilities, networks and internal factory infrastructure.

BA Glass is investing in the construction of an extension for a warehouse in Sofia for glass packaging to an existing production building - Workshop No. 1.

BA Glass is investing in the construction of a new administrative building, an office building, and parking for trucks on the territory of the company in Plovdiv. The purpose of the present investment project is to improve and optimize the organization of loading and dispatch of finished products, as well as to improve the administrative service activities of the plant.

After 20 years of production, the Plovdiv furnace finished its lifecycle. A complete rebuild of PV1 is planned for 4Q 2023. The new furnace will be more efficient in terms of energy consumption and productivity.

BA Glass intends to build and operate two separate photovoltaic roof installations for the production of electricity, for own consumption in the Sofia plant.

In order to increase the use of electricity from renewable sources, BA Glass invested in a photovoltaic park in the Villafranca de los Barros Plant. The panels were installed on the warehouses' roof with a total power of 8 MWp, which produces yearly energy corresponding to 10% of the plant's consumption.

After 20 years of production, Avintes' furnace finished its lifecycle. The main objectives for the new installation were the improvements in quality, productivity, energy, and water consumption.
The use of bigger machines allowed us to use the complete capacity of the furnace with a gain in productivity and energy. The cold end area changed drastically, with the replacement of inspection machines by the newest technology in the market and new palletizers.

Project Clever is a joint project between BA Glass Portugal, Super Bock and the University of Aveiro, with the goal of researching and developing transparent beer bottles that allow the product to be seen.

In 2019 and 2020, two furnaces were rebuilt with the latest technology.
This investment also includes the construction of new warehouses for the finished product.

The aim of the ShellMould project is to develop engineering solutions for moulding components in the glass industry.

This project aims to develop engineering solutions through the implementation of a HVOF (high-speed thermal imaging) coating pilot line and the development of PVD (cathodic spray) coating solutions for thin film deposition.

The goal of this project is to develop a new range of composite materials with improved thermal conductivity and mechanical properties, as well as the development and application of coating films with self-lubricating properties at high temperatures.
